Sandra was born and raised in Kingston, Jamaica. She later migrated to the United States in 1989, where she attended high school in the Bronx, NY. There, her passion for the law came to light. She excelled in her high school pre-law program, which became the catalyst for her legal career. In 1996 she graduated from the esteemed Manhattanville College, in Purchase, New York, where she earned her Bachelor’s of Art degree in Political Science and minor in French. Sandra then went on to study law at the State University School of Law at Buffalo, where she earned her Juris Doctorate degree. Sandra began working in private practice with a focus in trial practice, in the civil, family, and criminal arena. Her passion for helping the underserved and the disenfranchised comes from her upbringing, but also her own challenges in her legal career. She understands injustice and works hard to ensure that her clients are treated fairly and have access to good representation. She is a fighter in an out of the courtroom. In 2014, Sandra ran for office and became the Democratic nominee for HD19. She believes in being a voice for the voiceless and everyone having equal access, no matter where you come from. She has been living in Atlanta since 2000 with her family.
